Job summary

IoTronix Technologies Sdn Bhd, a fast-growing PCB assembly provider for the IoT market, seeks a Process/PE Technician to support SMT lines in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will monitor processes, help optimize reflow and wave solder profiles, and cooperate with Process Engineers in NPI runs and defect analysis.

Role requires 0-2 years in manufacturing, with training provided. Safety and daily shift reporting are part of the responsibilities, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic greenfield

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in manufacturing processes.
• Process monitoring, data recording, basic problem-solving.
• Preferred: experience in process monitoring or basic troubleshooting.
• Equipment operation, quality control, safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Observe machine, line performance and determine steps to achieve optimum line efficiency and product quality.
• Provide training to new & junior PE Technician employees.
• Assist Process Engineers in achieving optimum process performance by measuring or optimizing reflow/wave solder profiles.
• Assist Process Engineers in NPI run, product quality issues and RCCA findings.
• Provide daily pass-down reports to next shift Technicians.
• Adhere to safety and health rules and procedures as directed by supervisor.
• Responsible for EHS practices and environmental health and safety commitments.

Job description

To ensures and perform all process activities are carrying out accordingly.

To observe machine, line performance and determine the necessary steps needed to achieve optimum line efficiency and product quality.

To improve yield through updates/changes/retrofit of processes or equipment.

Involve in days-to-days production sustaining activities.

Interface with Line Supervisors, PE and Machine Support personnel to determine corrective actions needed and be the front-line person in ensuring that assigned line(s) performs with the maximum efficiency and product quality.

Provide training to new & junior PE Technician employees.

To adapt effective advanced manufacturing technologies and apply them.

To continuously improve product cycle time by means of process and equipment.

To handle process related issues on printing, dispenser, placement, reflow oven, wave soldering, washing machine, jigs & fixtures.

Assist Process Engineers in achieving optimum process performance by measuring or optimizing of reflow profiles, wave solder profiles and screen printing of solder paste.

Assist Process Engineers to buy-off the processes during NPI run and study all processes related issues.

Assist Process Engineers in NPI run, product quality issue and provide the finding and RCCA.

Provide continuous improvement in SMT process.

To provide solution for Top 3 defect triggering and assist Process Engineer to achieve FPY target.

To maintain the reflow oven, wave soldering and wash machine pallet and basket.

To assist Process Engineer to supervise and or perform newly set-up Equipment/line buy-off.

Provide daily 'pass-down' reports to next shift Technicians.

Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations as directed by supervisor.

Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

Provide support to Process Engineer to achieve ME KPI.

Responsible to co-operate and comply with any procedures, instructions, control measures on EHS instituted by the organization.

Responsible for taking reasonable care to follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices —for themselves, their colleagues, and the surrounding environment.

Understand and adopt the correct practices for handling chemicals, in accordance with the Chemical Management Procedure.

Aware of the relevant facilities associated with emergency preparedness and response, and understand their roles in ensuring readiness.

Responsible to assist EHS personnel on conducting regular monitoring and measuring of EHS performance, such as noise risk assessment, chemical health risk assessment (CHRA), ergonomic risk assessment, etc.

Any ad-hoc task as per assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications Required:

SKM/STPM/Certificate/Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field).

0-2 years experience in manufacturing processes

Process monitoring, data recording, basic problem-solving

Preferred Skills:

Experience in process monitoring or basic troubleshooting

Equipment operation, quality control, safety awareness
