COSMX Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kedah invites applications for a Process Team Lead/Engineer to guide our process engineering team in Karangan. This full-time role focuses on leading optimization initiatives and delivering engineering solutions that drive efficiency and cost reductions.

You will supervise engineers and technicians, develop SOPs, run process audits, collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance, and monitor KPIs to sustain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 3–5 years' experience in process engineering or similar.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean/Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and process simulation software.
• Data-driven problem-solving and strong communication skills.
• Experience with HSE requirements and compliance.

About the role
We are seeking a Process Team Lead/Engineer to join our engineering team in Karangan, Kedah. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and oversee process engineering initiatives within our organization. As Process Team Lead/Engineer, you will be responsible for managing process optimization, team coordination, and the delivery of engineering solutions that drive operational excellence. This role is pivotal to our continued growth and success in the process engineering sector.

Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

Lead and supervise a team of process engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and mentorship

Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Conduct process audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to ensure seamless process execution

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and productivity

Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flowcharts

Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime

Participate in capital projects and new equipment integration to support process improvements

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards

Train and develop team members to enhance technical competencies and professional growth

What we're looking for
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in process engineering or a similar technical role

Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and lean/Six Sigma methodologies

Proficiency in process simulation software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments

Experience in implementing process improvements and managing continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and compliance standards

Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems is advantageous

Certification in Lean or Six Sigma would be highly valued
