Job summary

Volvo Cars Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking an Engineering professional to drive improvements in production processes and support shop engineering targets. You will collaborate across production and plant engineering teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective changes while guiding capacity and staffing in your area.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong project management experience, and a results-driven, cross-functional mindset to contribute to the TT and VBE programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with proven experience.
• Experience in project management and related tools.
• Experience across plant roles or other company functions.
• Strong analytical mindset and results-driven attitude.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and cooperatively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in problem-solving when expert competence is required.
• Interface between Production and Plant/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Secure staffing targets within own area and update follow-up systems.
• Lead non-product projects within shop and drive improvements.
• Support capacity forecasting and 1+4 year plant masterplan inputs.
