Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer to base in PTP, Malaysia, reporting to Engineering Manager. The role focuses on cost, quality and delivery improvements to support a manufacturing organization.

You will define manufacturability, implement new processes and capital equipment, and address daily production issues while supporting ECOs and process control initiatives. Training will be provided during technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and solve daily issues.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Oversee new process equipment production and ECOs.
• Establish robust process parameters and control methodologies.
• Trouble shoot process related issues.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvements.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Improve safety, productivity and throughput.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Interface with production for new process transfer.
• Provide training during technology transfer.
