Job summary

Mycron Steel Berhad is seeking a fresh graduate Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to join our production team. You will analyze processes, monitor parameters, and help standardize SOPs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams.

You will work with cross‑functional groups to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with production goals, contributing to ongoing scale‑up and new product introduction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Develop and implement strategies to optimize production workflows and minimize waste.
• Process parameter monitoring: Daily review all related process parameter or other quality indicator to detect abnormal trends and take fast action before they cause quality problems or downtime. Evaluate the effectiveness of parameter changes during trials or optimizations.
• Process Documentation & Standardization: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Process control plans. Maintain accurate records of process parameters and performance.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve issues related to product quality, process instability, or equipment performance. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Production Support: Participate in daily operations meetings and respond to production issues. Collaborate with other teams to collect and analyze monthly OEE data.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement projects. Support new product introduction or process scale-up projects. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams on improvement initiatives.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain high standards for product quality. Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to ensure smooth production operations. Communicate effectively to address challenges and drive alignment towards common goals.
• Perform other duties and responsibility deemed necessary by Supervision.
