Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Junior Engineer - Plant Engineering (Operations) to support development, optimization, and stabilization of manufacturing processes in Kedah. You will conduct root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth product launches and ramp-ups.

The role requires a fresh degree in Engineering or Science and knowledge of quality tools (8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, JMP).

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of quality tools (8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, JMP) is an advantage.
• Strong problem solving skills and good analytical abilities.
• Able to work independently, be results oriented, and perform under pressure.

• Support the development, optimization, and stabilization of manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, etc.) to ensure smooth product launch and ramp-up.
• Perform process capability studies, yield analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide technical support to production in daily operations, ensuring minimal downtime and scrap.
• Participate in cost reduction, automation, and productivity improvement projects.
• Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
