Job summary

BizLink Group, based in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure safety. The role involves supervising the engineering department, reporting KPI metrics to management, preparing documentation, and driving process improvements across production lines.

You will support Manufacturing Engineers, develop jigs/fixtures or automation ideas, and participate in process documentation, FMEA, and line balancing to achieve productivity

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• Required skills include MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Language: Mandarin, English, Malay.

Responsibilities

• To supervise and lead daily overall engineering department activities.
• To report all engineering-related KPI(s) and other management-assigned KPI(s) to the departmental HOD and corporate.
• To support Manufacturing Engineers in preparing documentation.
• Process document improvement and stop-gap measures for production.
• Prepare process flow charts / FMEA / general standards and study cycle times.
• Train production personnel on skill improvement and implementation of process changes.
• Review and analyze process improvements and drive automation where feasible.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of facilities and machinery is carried out.
• Amend and manage documentation including ECR/ECN and customer specs when needed.

Overview Of The Position

A Process Engineer is a professional who focuses on optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety

Key Responsibilities

• To supervise and lead daily overall engineering department activities.
• To report all engineering-related KPI(s) and other management-assigned KPI(s) - (a) weekly (b) monthly, to the departmental HOD and corporate.
• To support Manufacturing Engineers in preparing documentation.
• Process document improvement.
• Prepare process equipment for mass production & provide technical support to Production for process improvement.
• Buy-off documentation, including customer information and internal documents, before mass production.
• Machine setup and troubleshooting.
• Prepare process flow chart / Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) / General Standard
• Preparing and studying the product process balance cycle time.
• To study and develop the new jig/fixture fabrication or automation for process improvement.
• To identify and develop technical standards for the production process.
• To train the production personnel on skill improvement.
• To review and analyze process improvements.
• To solve any product engineering issues in production.
• To be responsible for preparing and revising engineering changes, like ECR/ECN.
• To be responsible for the facilities and machinery's preventive maintenance.
• Any other duties as requested by the superior from time to time.
• Authorized to amend the documentation information if found incorrect in the customer drawing/specification.
• Buyoff machine includes developing test parameters and specs to verify the machine meets the parts requirement.
• Support production on improvement activities to increase productivity and reduce quality failures, including documentation and line balancing, automation improvements, and foolproof jig/fixture.
• Handling new projects, transferring project & FAI activities.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): MS Excel, AutoCAD.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.
• Language: Mandarin, English, Malay.
• Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) is preferred.
