Job summary

Ovotherm Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd is expanding its Asia Pacific footprint and seeks an experienced Production Team lead in Selangor. The role focuses on overseeing Thermoforming and Labelling operations, managing a production team, and aligning daily output with forecasted delivery.

You will ensure efficient resource allocation, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement while adhering to safety and FSSC 22000 requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Thermoforming & Labelling department.
• Manage and develop production staff to meet outputs and quality targets.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules based on delivery forecasts.
• Ensure resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials) is efficient.
• Maintain compliance with FSSC 22000 and safety regulations.
• Train staff and coordinate with maintenance for machine uptime.
• Address performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting and parts availability.

We are embarking on an exciting journey to expand our footprint across Asia Pacific, and you are invited to join our critically important Production Team to support our growth ambition.

Overseeing Thermoforming & Labelling department, ensuring a smooth operation by managing a team, settling goals & priorities, monitoring performance, coordinating with other section to achieve overall organizational objectives.

Effectively monitor & plan production schedule and make necessary adjustment based on delivery forecast.

Manage and supervise production staff to achieve targeted outputs, quality standards and minimum wastages are met.

Ensure efficient allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, raw materials etc.

Responsible to ensure daily production output are accurate and updated into company’s system.

Key person in resolving operational issues and collaborating with technical team in the event of process issue arises.

Conduct employee training and development to maintain skill levels.

To assist maintenance team to troubleshoot machine breakdown. work hand in hand with maintenance colleague to ensure machineries tools, spare parts are available & in good working condition.

Fully responsible to ensure team member adhere to all standard operation procedure, FSSC workflow/standard, safety & company regulation.

Responsible to ensure its department are fully compliance to FSSC 22000 standard and keeping the record updated from time to time.

Enforce safety regulation and procedure to maintain a safe working environment.

Address performance issues, provide feedback and implement discipline actions when necessary.

Abilities to multi-tasking and accept AD-HOC duties.

Able to and willing to work on shift.

Skills

Process knowledge in Thermoforming Process is an added advantage.

Knowledge of production processes and quality control methodologies.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

Experience

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in production (Thermoforming Process) is an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in mechanical work.

Experience in mold maintenance would be an added advantage.
