Summary
The Process Engineer Team operates as a shared service resource to support the organization in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to enable optimal services to be delivered to our customers. To enable the management and delivery of projects focused on improving processes the Team utilizes a well‑structured set of tools and methodologies. These tools are based upon Lean manufacturing, lean Six Sigma and Project Management methodologies. The Process Engineer reports directly to the Corporate Process Engineer.
Responsibilities
The Process Engineer's responsibilities, among others, are:
Coordinate the global continuous improvement program to maximize quality, increase productivity and meet client requirements
Ensure that any process and engineering changes are being properly documented and approved by headquarter;
Perform internal audits in all the facilities to ensure compliance of the manufacturing processes;
Develop, improve and maintain standard manufacturing documentation across the organization;
Participate in 8D reports preparation;
Manufacturing KPI reports development and analysis;
Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability or cost‑effectiveness
Identifies opportunities for improvement and defines the issues; identifies objectives; considers current procedures and measures performance; recommends and implements optimal solutions; measures observed improvements; drafts documents and reports.
Develop, review and update standard operations procedures and work instructions in all facilities.
Development and improvement of new industrial safety practices
Coach and support project team members in use of tools and methodologies
To participate in the review, recommendations and approval of tenders;
To participate in the analysis and search for causes of nonconformities and the devising of corrective action needed to ensure that defects do not re‑occur;
To participate in the development of a maintenance and preventive maintenance schedule and procedures and keep them current, in cooperation with the Production Manager, the Maintenance Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager;
Maintain a strict sense of professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality and privacy and abiding by AIM Policy.
