Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, support NPI, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality, productivity, and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• 2–3 years of SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience.
• Good knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
• Knowledge of SAP and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to meet requirements.
• Analyse and resolve process problems to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure successful launches.
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, tools, and equipment including Poka-Yoke solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, improvements, and cost targets.
• Coordinate with suppliers on equipment design, delivery, installation, trials, and maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain Process Management Plans (PMP), BOM, work instructions, and docs.
• Support R&D and continuous improvement initiatives for new methods.
• Provide technical support and lead resolution of manufacturing and customer issues.
• Ensure processes comply with quality, safety, and customer specs.

About the role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction, resolving technical issues, and driving continuous improvement to achieve quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer and production requirements.
• Analyse and resolve manufacturing and process-related problems to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth and successful product launches.
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, tools, and mechanical equipment, including Poka-Yoke solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to review product requirements, process improvements, and cost targets.
• Coordinate with suppliers on equipment design, delivery, installation, trials, qualification, and maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain Process Management Plans (PMP), BOM, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Support R&D and continuous improvement initiatives to develop new and improved manufacturing methods.
• Provide technical support and lead the resolution of manufacturing and customer-related issues.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with required quality, safety, and customer specifications.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.
• Knowledge of SAP and Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technical writing skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
• A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
