Ferrotec Thermoelectric Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a capable Process Engineer to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.

The candidate will monitor and optimize mass production processes, drive yield improvements, and lead major process improvement projects with strong execution capabilities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in microelectronics/semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control mass production processes, drive yield improvement initiatives, and lead major process improvement projects with strong execution capabilities.
• Develop and introduce new processes and technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Perform equipment and process parameter tuning; experience in reflow oven profile setup and optimization is a plus.
• Troubleshoot process quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and handle customer complaints related to process quality.
• Establish, standardize, and maintain process documentation and work instructions for consistency and compliance with manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support localized operations management; communicate fluently in daily work in English.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office, with strong PowerPoint development skills; familiar with CAD software for engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control mass production processes, drive yield improvement initiatives, and lead major process improvement projects with strong execution capabilities.

• Collaborate cross-functionally and support localized operations management. Demonstrate strong spoken English skills with the ability to communicate fluently and effectively in daily work.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, with strong PowerPoint presentation development skills.
• Be familiar with CAD software for engineering-related applications.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with experience in large-scale manufacturing environments and the SMT industry will be preferred.
• A background in Microelectronics, Integrated Circuits, or Semiconductor Engineering is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, process technology, or R&D involving precision electronics, SMD resistors, ICs, or SMT processes is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to support effective communication with stakeholders based in China.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes through mechanism-based analysis rather than superficial corrective actions.
• Able to work under pressure and willing to travel overseas when required by business needs.
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to train and develop local teams.
• Meticulous, disciplined, and data-driven, with a strong commitment to documentation, traceability, and clear accountability.
