Job summary

YS Foam Industries in Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and equipment to meet efficiency and quality targets set by Management.

Responsibilities include ensuring processes and equipment meet customer requirements, leading training for production personnel on quality, and driving Lean and Kaizen activities to optimize the production line and eliminate non-value-added steps.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure both efficiency and quality meeting target set by Management.
• Ensure the process/ equipment of each product fulfill customer requirement(s).
• Jointly develop, with the requisite quality engineer, protocols, procedures and reports for a quality improvement.
• Verify on each process from Raw Material until End Product are according to procedure set.
• Lead production team in problem solving and implement quality checking method to lift up quality awareness to prevent over killing issue, escape of defect product and sensitivity of quality in first build.
• To support on training to production personnel in terms of quality and requirement.
• Oversee of processes to maintain optimization of production line, & eliminate “Non-Value” added processes.
• Lead the “Kaizen”(Continuous Improvement) activities through adopting Lean Manufacturing concept.
