Job summary

Lead Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an automotive engineering professional responsible for ensuring IATF 16949 compliance and readiness for new product launches.

You will monitor costs and project progress while coordinating ECNs from principals or internally, and keep critical processes updated to latest versions. You will lead modular assembly process optimization, liaise with suppliers, maintain tool inventories, and oversee preventive maintenance and spare parts control.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for engineering (automotive) requirement to meet IATF 16949.
To prepare the readiness of new product launch.
To be responsible on monitoring cost/budget utilization and project progress for new product launch project.
To coordinate any engineering change notice (ECN) from principals or initiated internally.
To ensure critical processes are properly documented and updated to the latest version.
To lead process optimization of the modular assembly.
To liaise and follow up with supplier/vendor and other department for any project, spare part, modification involvement.
To ensure that tool inventory is updated and maintained.
To plan and ensure yearly preventive maintenance schedule being executed.
To manage and control spare part inventory.
To ensure safety precautions being followed and maintain a good housekeeping environment.
To perform any other task assigned by superior from time to time.
Implement company's policies and procedures.
To execute the General Duties of Employer under part IV Section 15 of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and Environmental Quality Act (EQA 1974)
