Job summary

AIC Semiconductor Sdn Bhd is seeking a process engineering professional to analyze, maintain and improve IC assembly manufacturing processes. The role focuses on troubleshooting equipment and processes to meet quality, yield, and delivery goals while supporting new device introductions.

You will monitor assembly yield and drive improvements to reduce scrap, develop work instructions, and collaborate with engineering to implement changes and ECOs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar capacity is a plus.
• Knowledge of SPC and Risk Management/FMEA.
• Knowledge of PLCs and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, maintain and improve processes in IC assembly manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment to meet quality, yield and delivery targets.
• Provide engineering support for sustaining and new device processes.
• Monitor assembly yield to meet KPI targets and reduce scrap.
• Develop work instructions and production routes; support ECO implementations.
• Collect and analyze data to create engineering reports for new products and regular production.

Job description

Analyzing, maintaining, improving and planning strategies in implementing quality manufacturing processes. Trouble-shoot process and equipment relating to IC assembly manufacturing. Job function includes providing engineering support for all process sustaining related matters and new device in the process to meet quality, yield, delivery and strive to reduce manufacturing cost.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for sustaining & improving the Process

Overall knowledge on semiconductor manufacturing and must be able to collect and analyze data in order to create engineering reports for New products and regular production

Monitor and maintain Assembly yield within KPI target

Key involvement in improving the systems to bring down scrap rate due to process excursions

Initiate process improvements through effective evaluations of yield data and manufacturing defects and make adjustments to process equipment accordingly

Program, troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing process equipment as required to meet the required yield target

Support engineering initiatives in evaluating: solders, epoxies, new equipment (installations) and recommend solutions both tactically and strategically

Develop Manufacturing Work Instructions and production routes along with Engineering change orders implementation when applicable

Possess a recognized diploma or degree in electrical / mechanical / related engineering academics

2 to 3 years of experience in a similar capacity would be an asset

Knowledgeable in SPC and Risk Management/FMEA

Knowledgeable in PLC
