Aemulus Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing and assembly processes for electronics products in Penang. You will review designs for manufacturability, define process flows, and ensure work instructions reflect current engineering changes.

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure products can be assembled correctly, efficiently, consistently, and safely.
The main responsibilities of this position are Design for Manufacturing (DFM), production process development, and Work Instruction (WI) management. The Process Engineer will work closely with R&D, NPI, Production, QA, and other relevant teams to support new product introduction and daily production activities.
Review new product designs from a manufacturing and assembly perspective.
Identify potential assembly, manufacturing, and workmanship risks before production.
Provide DFM feedback and improvement recommendations to R&D and NPI.
Review assembly sequence, component accessibility, cable routing, fastening methods, soldering, mechanical interference, and other manufacturing concerns.
Ensure lessons learned from production are considered in future product designs.
Develop and establish production and assembly processes for new and existing products.
Define the correct process flow, assembly sequence, tools, fixtures, equipment, and process requirements.
Support new product setup and production readiness.
Review and improve existing production processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Identify process risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Support process validation before implementation in production.
Create and maintain clear and practical Work Instructions (WI) for production.
Ensure WIs clearly define the assembly steps, tools, equipment, parameters, pictures, and important process controls.
Verify WIs through actual production builds before release.
Update WIs according to engineering changes, process improvements, and production feedback.
Ensure production is using the latest approved WI.
Provide training or clarification to production personnel when required.
Support NPI, pilot builds, and new product transfer to production.
Ensure the required process, WI, tools, fixtures, and equipment are ready before production.
Provide engineering support for daily production and assembly issues.
Investigate process and workmanship problems and support root cause analysis.
Work with R&D/NPI to resolve design or manufacturing-related issues.
Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring production problems.
Identify tooling, jig, fixture, and equipment requirements for production.
Develop simple fixtures or coordinate fixture development when required.
Improve existing tools and fixtures to reduce assembly errors and improve productivity.
Ensure the correct tools and equipment are available for critical production processes.
Improve production processes to reduce cycle time, rework, errors, and unnecessary operations.
Conduct basic time studies and support production capacity analysis.
Improve workstation layout and assembly methods where required.
Implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) where practical.
Support continuous improvement activities for quality, cost, and productivity.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Preferably 2–5 years of Process or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Experience in electronics, PCBA, semiconductor equipment, test equipment, or equipment manufacturing is preferred.
Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Able to read engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and assembly drawings.
Familiar with production processes such as soldering, crimping, torque control, press-fit, cable assembly, and mechanical assembly.
Able to prepare clear and practical Work Instructions.
Basic knowledge of DFM, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
Basic CAD knowledge is an advantage.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
