Job summary

STANDARD ENCODER (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is recruiting a Graduate / Junior Engineer to analyze and diagnose critical manufacturing quality problems, determine causes of failures, and support continuous improvement at our Kempas facility in Johor Bahru.

You will perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, provide technical assistance to manufacturing, and help review corrective and preventive actions to ensure effectiveness. Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant engineering field.
• Fresh graduates welcome.
• 1 year experience preferred or internships considered.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing quality problems to determine causes of poor quality and failure.
• Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing.
• Review corrective and preventive actions for adequacy and effectiveness.
• Verify implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor process quality trends and rectify abnormalities.
• Establish work instructions and process control/documentation.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance on process improvements.

Job description

To analyze and diagnose critical manufacturing quality problems to determine the cause(s) of poor quality and failure.

Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve mechanical, process, and operational issues.

Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing when necessary.

Periodically review the corrective and preventive action implemented to assure its adequacy and effectiveness.

Perform periodic verification on the implementation of corrective action mapped out to ensure it is still in place.

Monitor and analyze process quality trends and rectify any abnormalities.

Establish work instruction and process control/documentation.

Work closely with production and maintenance teams on process improvement

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant working experience are preferred.

Candidates with relevant internship or industrial training experience will also be considered.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
