Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Malaysia is seeking a manufacturing/process engineer to manage SAP master data, support SAP troubleshooting, and drive smooth transitions for ECRs from R&D to production.

You will lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions and assist product transfers across global sites. The role requires close collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to optimize processes, design for manufacturing, and implement lean initiatives that improve

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain SAP Material Masters, routing sequences, component consumption, and work center configurations.
• Provide first-level SAP troubleshooting and support.
• Plan and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) from R&D to the production floor, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
• Support product transfer from global Rohde & Schwarz sites.
• Design, create, and optimize process flows and production line layouts from the ground up.
• Establish standard work instruction and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform detailed cost calculations within SAP.
• Conduct cycle time measurements and analysis for current and new processes to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
• Partner with R&D to support on Design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping projects.
• Optimize material flow and inventory.
• Optimize cycle time, throughput, line balancing and capacity planning.
