Job summary

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Process Control Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Batu Berendam, Melaka. You will design, implement and optimise process control systems that drive efficiency, safety and quality across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and 3–5 years in process control, with PLC/SCADA expertise, instrumentation knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in process control engineering or similar in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong proficiency with PLCs, SCADA and industrial automation software.
• Solid understanding of process dynamics, control theory, and instrumentation principles.
• Experience with process modelling and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation software.
• Knowledge of ISO/OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop process control strategies to optimise production efficiency and product quality.
• Monitor and analyse process parameters in real-time and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct process audits and studies to identify improvements and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality assurance teams for seamless operations.
• Develop, test and validate process control documentation and specifications.
• Commission and troubleshoot controllers, PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff.
• Conduct root cause analysis on process failures and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain process control databases and records of modifications.
