Job summary

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Process Control Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Batu Berendam, Melaka. You will design, implement and optimise process control systems that drive efficiency, safety and quality across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and 3–5 years in process control, with PLC/SCADA expertise, instrumentation knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in process control engineering or similar in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong proficiency with PLCs, SCADA and industrial automation software.
• Solid understanding of process dynamics, control theory, and instrumentation principles.
• Experience with process modelling and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation software.
• Knowledge of ISO/OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop process control strategies to optimise production efficiency and product quality.
• Monitor and analyse process parameters in real-time and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct process audits and studies to identify improvements and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality assurance teams for seamless operations.

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Process Control Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Batu Berendam, Melaka. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising process control systems that are critical to our operations. This position plays a strategic role in ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across our manufacturing and production processes, directly contributing to the company's operational excellence and competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop process control strategies and systems to optimise production efficiency and product quality

Monitor and analyse process parameters in real-time, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions

Conduct process audits and studies to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure seamless process operations

Develop, test, and validate process control documentation, standard operating procedures and technical specifications

Commission and troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and automated instrumentation

Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel on process control systems

Conduct root cause analysis on process failures and implement preventative measures

Maintain and update process control databases and maintain accurate records of system modifications and improvements

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all process control activities

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in process control engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong proficiency with process control systems including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and industrial automation software

Solid understanding of process dynamics, control theory, and instrumentation principles

Experience with process modelling and simulation tools

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and implement effective solutions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation software

Knowledge of relevant industrial standards and safety regulations (ISO, OSHA, or equivalent)

Preferred: Experience with data analytics and process optimisation techniques

Preferred: Certification in process control engineering or related field
