Job summary

TIME dotCom Berhad is seeking a Pricing Specialist for its Wholesale team to support Client Managers and SBUs in pricing proposals for business opportunities. The role also supports Product Managers with business cases and profitability analyses, championing project profitability to meet business goals and ensure market-driven pricing.

You will help establish competitive pricing, build robust pricing models, and maintain pricing data while collaborating with multiple departments to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Studies/Finance/Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of pricing experience ideally in telecommunications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Understand pricing competitiveness within sectors and perform project profitability analysis to establish best pricing options.
• Understand customer behaviour to devise pricing strategy.
• Identify processes, rationalize and improve all project prices and costs.
• Develop pricing model for solutions per customer requirements and consider competition and profitability.
• Communicate cost information to validate pricing direction and outcomes.
• Maintain pricing database and tracking for reference and review.
• Review contracts to ensure reasonable commercial terms.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pricing Specialist to join our Wholesale team at TIME. In this critical role, you will be supporting Client Managers and SBUs in establishing pricing proposal for all business opportunities. You will also be supporting Product Managers in building business cases and financial viability analysis. You will champion the project profitability analysis to ensure compliance with business goals. Provide market trending to ensure price released is within the market driven pricing.

• Understand pricing competitiveness within sectors and perform project profitability analysis in order to establish the best possible pricing options to win the bid.
• Understand customer behaviour and psyche in order to come up with the best pricing strategy.
• Identify processes, rationalize and recommend improvement of all project prices and costs.
• Exercise sustainable procedure & criteria to arrive at solutions that continuously improve the pricing functions and processes.
• Develop pricing model for solutions as per customer's requirement and recommend prices for all projects considering competitive landscape, strategy, and profitability.
• Communicate timely, critical and accurate cost information in order to validate pricing direction and expected outcomes.
• Able to liaise effectively with various departments/personnel to obtain accurate information in order to construct an accurate pricing structure.
• Maintain pricing database and tracking for easy reference and review.
• Ensure price released within stipulated deadline.
• Responsible to review contracts to ensure commercial terms are reasonable.

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Education: Bachelor degree in Business Studies/Finance/Management, Actuarial Science, Engineering in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience: 1 – 2 years of pricing experience ideally in telecommunication industry.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Self-driven and eager to learn.
• Possess good business acumen and strong analytical skills.
• Adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
