Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd is seeking a maintenance/production technician to oversee daily operation and performance of press machines in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Johor. You will monitor parameters, analyze data and drive corrective actions to boost productivity and quality.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical engineering with at least 2 years in manufacturing. Strong PLC/HMI knowledge and preventive maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment; tile/building materials experience preferred.
• Knowledge of press machines, hydraulic systems, automation controls, sensors, PLC, and HMI.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

• Lead root cause analysis for process and equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support setup, commissioning, parameter tuning, mold changes, and process validation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while maintaining a safe environment.
• Prepare technical reports, monitor equipment performance trends, and propose improvement plans.

Monitor machine parameters, analyze production data, and implement corrective actions to optimize productivity and minimize defects.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and automation-related issues to reduce machine downtime and improve reliability.

Coordinate and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for press equipment and related systems.

Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Technical teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead root cause analysis for process and equipment-related issues and recommend effective solutions.

Support machine setup, commissioning, parameter tuning, mold changes, and process validation activities.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while maintaining a safe working environment.

Prepare technical reports, monitor equipment performance trends, and propose improvement plans to enhance overall manufacturing effectiveness.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in ceramic tile, building materials, heavy industry, or automated manufacturing is an added advantage.

Knowledge of press machines, hydraulic systems, automation controls, sensors, PLC, and HMI systems.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in equipment reliability improvement, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and root cause analysis techniques.

Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Able to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
