Guocera Sdn Bhd is seeking a process engineer to monitor kiln operations, optimize firing schedules, and analyze process data to drive quality and productivity improvements. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives across production, quality, maintenance and R&D teams in a dynamic ceramic manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree with 1–3 years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, and is proficient in data analysis, Excel, and control

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 1-3 years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, thermal processing, process engineering, or related environments.
• Knowledge of kiln operations, firing processes, and ceramic production would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, PID controls, or automated manufacturing systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and process data analysis.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain process documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor kiln operations and process performance to meet quality and production targets.
• Optimize firing schedules and process parameters for efficiency and consistency.
• Analyze process data and implement improvements to enhance quality, productivity and energy use.
• Investigate product defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct product trials, process validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements.
• Monitor process KPIs, prepare reports, and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D to support manufacturing objectives.

Investigate product defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Conduct product trials, process validation, and continuous improvement activities.

Coordinate with Maintenance teams on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements.

Monitor process KPIs, prepare reports, and maintain technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.

Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to support manufacturing objectives.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, thermal processing, process engineering, or related manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of kiln operations, firing processes, and ceramic production processes will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, PID controls, or automated manufacturing systems.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and process data analysis.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Able to prepare technical reports and maintain process documentation.
