Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Glaze Operations Lead to manage daily glaze operations and ensure production targets are met. You will oversee glaze application, decorative printing, and monitor consumption to minimize waste.

You will lead shift technicians, drive continuous improvement, maintain ISO compliance, and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and suppliers to safeguard smooth production flow in a fast-paced tile manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ceramic/Engineering field.
• 3-5 years in ceramic tile manufacturing or production engineering.
• Knowledge of glaze technology and decorative printing processes.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, automation systems, and quality management practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process improvement and manufacturing optimization is a plus.

Job description

Manage daily glaze operations to achieve production, quality, and operational targets.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and equipment efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ceramic tile manufacturing, production engineering, process control, or related manufacturing operations.

Knowledge of ceramic glaze technology, glaze chemistry, and decorative printing processes.

Familiarity with PLC, HMI, automation systems, and quality management practices.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience in process improvement and manufacturing optimization is an added advantage.
