Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd in Malaysia's Johor region is seeking a Production Engineer to manage daily glaze operations, oversee glaze application and decorative printing, and drive material efficiency.

You will lead a team of shift leaders and technicians, ensure ISO and safety compliance, collaborate with QA, engineering, and suppliers, and push continuous improvement across glaze processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Engineering, Chemical/Materials/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in ceramic tile manufacturing, production engineering, process control, or related manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of ceramic glaze technology, glaze chemistry, and decorative printing processes.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, automation systems, and quality management practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process improvement and manufacturing optimization is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical process parameters including glaze density, viscosity, coating consistency, and line performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop shift leaders and technicians to enhance team capability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and equipment efficiency.

Requirements
