Job summary

Penang Automation Cluster Sdn Bhd invites applications for a CNC/press brake operator. You will set up and operate CNC or manual press brake machines according to production needs, read engineering drawings, select tooling and machine parameters, and perform bending to meet specs.

Fresh graduates or candidates with manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. You must be physically fit, able to use basic measuring instruments, and willing to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC or manual press brake preferred.
• Fresh graduates or manufacturing experience encouraged.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is an advantage.
• Able to use basic measuring instruments.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC or manual press brake machines according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine parameters for each job.
• Perform bending operations to meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauges, angle gauges, and protractors.
• Ensure finished parts meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Report any machine abnormalities, tooling issues, or quality problems to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Record production output and complete production documentation accurately.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices (5S) in the work area.
• Comply with all company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement activities and assist with other production tasks when required.
