Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a skilled metal fabrication operator to handle bending machines and sheet metal tasks in a manufacturing setting. You will set up dies, adjust parameters, and ensure finished parts meet customer specifications.

The role requires at least 3 years in bending/sheet metal work, with preference for those with medical device experience. Adhere to 5S, safety rules, and document production and quality logs daily.

Qualifications

• SPM holder or Certificate in Machining.
• Minimum 3 years experience in handling bending machines and sheet metal operations.
• Medical device experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate bending machines and form metal sheets per blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect finished bent parts for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain 5S in own work cell and follow safety requirements.
• Perform self-quality checks on produced products and document actions in logs.
• Meet personal output and yield targets.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.

Ensure product machining meets specification and customer's quality expectation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

• Using a variety of bending machines, including manual and CNC machines, to form metal sheets and components according to blueprints and specifications.


• Carrying out various metal fabrication tasks, including bending, rolling, and forming, as needed.


• Preparing the bending machine for production by setting up dies, adjusting pressure, and making other necessary adjustments


• Inspecting the finished bent parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet the required specifications.


• Identifying and resolving minor machine issues, and reporting more serious problems to maintenance personnel.


• Maintain 5S for own work cell area.


• Operate equipment and machine per work-instruction and safety requirement.


• Perform own self-quality check on product been produced.


• Meet personal output target and yield target.


• Perform equipment and machine health and setup check at start of shift. Document actions by completing production and quality logs.


• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.


• Ensure correct, good quality products are only allowed to leave manufacturing to be shipped to customer.


• Participate in quality improvement project.
