Job summary

Jora Malaysia, located in Kulai, Johor, is hiring a Process Technician (Bending) to set up and operate CNC press brakes and to ensure precise bends per drawings. The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on sheet metal bending experience and a trade certificate or diploma.

You'll read DXF blueprints, select tooling for SPCC, stainless steel, or aluminum, and perform first-piece inspections. Enjoy a common 5‑day work week with parking and transport support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC press brake machines for sheet metal bending.

• Calculate bend allowances and tooling selection based on material and thickness.
• Conduct daily machine maintenance and keep 5S in the bending area.
• Collaborate with Process/Manufacturing Engineering to optimize sequences and troubleshoot defects.

We are a multi-national company involved developing, manufacturing and marketing for intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I-park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire for Process Technician (Bending).

You will play an important role in:

• Setup, adjust, and operate CNC Press Brake machines (e.g., Dardontech, Amada, Trumpf) for sheet metal bending.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and flat pattern DXF designs.
• Perform first-piece inspection and ensure precise bend angles, radius, and dimensions using standard measuring tools (calipers, protractors, height gauges).
• Calculate and apply bending allowances, bend deductions, and appropriate tooling selection based on material type and thickness (e.g., SPCC, Stainless Steel, Aluminum).
• Perform daily basic machine maintenance, routine checks, and maintain 5S standard in the bending work zone.
• Work closely with the Process/Manufacturing Engineering team to optimize bending sequences and troubleshoot process defects.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

• Education: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Sheet Metal Fabrication, or equivalent trade skill certificate (SKM/DKM).
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of hands on experience in sheet metal bending operations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading standard engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge is a plus).
• Familiar with CNC Press Brake controllers and tooling setups.
• Good understanding of material behavior, bend line alignments, and springback characteristics.
