Job summary

Flexi Components Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate manual lathe and CNC milling/turning machines. You will install fixtures, load CNC programs, and verify parameters to ensure components meet drawings and specs.

Responsibilities include maintaining tooling, performing first-piece/in-process inspections, and upholding safety and ISO standards in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• SPM/Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years machining experience (manual lathe, CNC milling/turning).
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Skilled with precision measuring instruments and basic CNC programming notions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathe and milling machines for precision components.
• Set up CNC milling/turning machines, install fixtures, workpieces and tools.
• Load CNC programs, verify parameters, and perform first-piece setup.
• Operate shop equipment and monitor machining operations to maintain tolerances.
• Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections with precision instruments.
• Follow safety procedures and ISO requirements (ISO 9001/ISO 14001 where applicable).
