Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled 5-axis CNC Machinist to operate and set up advanced CNC centers for high-precision components. You will perform setup, tool changes, program verification, and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet stringent specifications.

Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, GD&T, selecting tools, adjusting offsets, and maintaining production records while adhering to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with 5-axis.
• Experience setting up 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, tool steel, titanium, or other engineering materials.
• Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers per drawings.
• Read technical drawings and GD&T.
• Load, edit, and verify CNC programs; adjust offsets.
• Perform machine setup, tool installation and alignment.
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts with precision tools.
• Identify and fix machining issues; monitor tool wear and offsets.
• Maintain records and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Support continuous improvement in machining processes.
