Qualifications

Certificate or diploma in machining, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related technical field.
Relevant experience in CNC machining preferred.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
Perform machining to achieve required dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining requirements.
Prepare suitable cutting tools, fixtures and machining parameters.
Carry out basic CNC setting, offset adjustment and tool changes.
Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
Monitor processes and adjust to ensure product quality.
Report machine abnormalities or defects to the Supervisor.
Maintain CNC machines, tools and work areas in safe condition.
Follow safety procedures, quality requirements and production schedules.
Complete production and inspection records as required.
Perform other machining or production-related duties as assigned.
