Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Technician to set up, operate, and optimize precision milling for machined components.

You will read engineering drawings, select tools and parameters, perform 2D/3D milling operations, run programs, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances.

This role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Machining or related field, 2–5 years' experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Machining or related field.
• 2–5 years in CNC milling or precision machining.
• Experience with 3-axis/4-axis/5-axis CNC milling is preferred.
• Able to read mechanical/engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions.
• Perform machine setup, tool setting, and work offset adjustments.
• Select cutting tools and machining parameters based on material and drawing.
• Execute 2D/3D milling, drilling, tapping, pocketing, contouring as required.
• Load, edit, and run CNC programs with necessary adjustments.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools.
