Start your career in sales, education, and student recruitment
Are you a curious communicator who enjoys asking questions, understanding people, and finding out what makes them tick?
At Keypath Education, we partner with leading universities to deliver high-quality online education that helps professionals achieve their career and learning goals.
We are seeking a Pre-Enrolment Student Advisor to join our Student Operations team in Malaysia. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is confident in communicating with people, naturally curious, motivated to achieve targets, and interested in developing a career in consultative sales.
Whether you are a recent graduate or have 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing environment, this role provides structured training, coaching and hands‑on experience across the student sales and enrolment journey.
As a Pre-Enrolment Student Advisor, you will be responsible for engaging prospective students from their initial enquiry through to their progression into the enrolment process.
You will work with warm leads, initiating conversations with prospective students to understand their academic background, career aspirations, motivations and study interests.
Through a consultative approach, you will identify their needs, provide relevant information about postgraduate programs, address initial questions and concerns, and determine the most appropriate next step.
You will then work with our Sales and Enrolment teams to progress qualified students through the remainder of their journey.
This role provides exposure to both pre‑sales and post‑sales, allowing you to develop a strong understanding of the complete student journey while building valuable commercial and relationship‑management skills.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding people and their goals.
You may be a strong fit if you have:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher. Degrees in Psychology, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Education or related disciplines are particularly relevant.
1–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, contact centre, retail, hospitality, education or another customer‑facing environment; however, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence engaging with people over the phone and through digital channels.
Strong listening and questioning skills, with the ability to uncover underlying needs and motivations.
A curious and consultative approach to conversations.
Motivation to work towards individual and team targets and KPIs, in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and follow‑ups.
A willingness to learn, develop and respond positively to coaching and feedback.
We value transferable skills, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to develop.
Mandarin language skills are desirable but not essential.
At Keypath, you will join a global EdTech organisation with a purpose‑driven approach to education.
You will have the opportunity to:
Build valuable commercial and consultative sales skills. Develop your understanding of the higher education sector.
Position: Pre-Enrolment Student Advisor
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Office located in Shah Alah, Malaysia
Hours: 40 hours, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm
As part of the Pre‑Sales team, you may be required to work on a rotational schedule, including occasional late or weekend shifts, to support lead engagement and enrolment activities.
Preferred applicants may be required to complete a police check and other pre‑employment checks.
