Job summary

BGP Geophysical Malaysia is seeking a PR Officer / Community Relations Officer to support project operations in Sabah. You will introduce the company to clients and communities, build relationships, and gather feedback while coordinating with authorities.

Travel to project locations and site visits are expected as needed. The role requires strong communication, independence, and knowledge of Sabah's local culture; English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency is essential, with prior PR/Community

Qualifications

• Experience in PR/Community Relations is an advantage.

Job description

We are looking for a PR Officer / Community Relations Officer to support our company's project operations in Sabah.

Key responsibilities

Introduce the company and project activities to clients, local communities and relevant stakeholders.

Build and maintain good relationships with clients, local communities and relevant parties.

Communicate with local communities and collect feedback, concerns and suggestions.

Assist in communication, coordination and follow-up with clients, communities and relevant authorities.

Assist with necessary project-related permits, applications and coordination matters.

Conduct site visits and external activities when required.

Support the project team in resolving communication and coordination issues.

Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

About you

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.

Good knowledge and understanding of Sabah's local culture, communities and working environment.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Previous experience in Public Relations (PR), Community Relations, Customer Relations or Stakeholder Engagement is an advantage.

Able to communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds.

Willing to work outdoors, conduct site visits and travel to project locations when required.

Candidates with good local networks or community contacts in Sabah will have an added advantage.
