Job summary

Jetama SDN. BHD. seeks a Public Relations Officer to manage corporate communication, media relations, publications, branding and public relations activities for the Sabah region.

The role collaborates with Management, internal departments, media representatives, suppliers and external parties on PR matters. Required: Bachelor's degree in Communications/PR or related field, minimum 3 years PR experience, strong Bahasa Malaysia and English, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant PR, corporate communications, media monitoring or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate press releases, media statements and official communication materials.
• Liaise with media representatives and coordinate media-related activities.
• Monitor news and media coverage relevant to Jetama and prepare media reports for Management.
• Assist in preparing speeches, key messages and other communication materials as required.
• Assist HOD planning and coordinating CSR programmes, company events, official visits and external activities, including documentation, reports, correspondence and media records.
• Liaise with internal departments, stakeholders and external parties on Public Relations and Corporate Communications matters.
• Coordinate corporate advertisements, notices and approved newspaper or e-paper subscriptions.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
