Job summary

NUR AFAR SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a proactive Business Development professional with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering to drive growth across power, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. You will lead tendering, technical proposals, and project coordination while building strong client relationships and ensuring successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in sales or BD within relevant sectors, and a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
2–5 years in sales, business development or project engineering in power/industrial sectors.
Experience with tendering, costing, quotations and project coordination preferred.
Willingness to travel across Malaysia and engage with stakeholders.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand project documents.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within power plants, petrochemical plants, and industrial sectors across Malaysia.
Promote engineering services and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals and tender submissions.
Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Management to develop competitive solutions.
Monitor project progress, schedule, manpower and site activities; provide technical support as needed.
Assist Management with strategic planning and expansion initiatives.
