Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services in Malaysia seeks a Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth by selling the full suite of solutions, including capital equipment like diesel generators, chillers, CDU and digital/energy solutions.

You will develop long-term customer partnerships, expand installed base value, and maximize lifecycle revenue through consultative selling and value-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or high-value, complex sales equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Highly self-motivated, strategic, and results driven.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Malaysia.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of complete solutions for power generation and chillers.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
• Manage sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet targets.
• Collaborate with service, engineering, and application teams.
• Promote aftermarket services such as maintenance contracts and parts.
• Monitor market trends and refine sales strategies.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and contracts.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement.
• Participate in industry events and customer engagement activities.
