Job summary

Leong Hup International Berhad is seeking an experienced Poultry Abattoir Operations Manager to lead end-to-end poultry processing plant operations in Malaysia with readiness for overseas leadership responsibilities. You will ensure efficient production, cost control, quality compliance, and strong team leadership across the processing site.

Key responsibilities include managing daily plant operations, achieving targets and KPIs, monitoring costs, and enforcing HACCP, GMP, and biosecurity

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in poultry processing / slaughterhouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dress bird / processing plant.
• Ensure achievement of daily processing targets, yield, and efficiency KPIs.
• Monitor and control production costs, wastage, and manpower utilization.
• Lead and supervise department heads, supervisors, and line workers.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, sanitation, biosecurity).
• Coordinate with farm, logistics, and sales teams for smooth supply chain execution.
• Oversee maintenance and proper operation of processing machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and review production reports, variance analysis, and operational improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality output.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Poultry Abattoir Operations Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end operations of a poultry processing facility. This role is ideal for Malaysian candidates with strong experience in broiler processing, plant operations, and production management who are ready to take on an overseas leadership position.

Requirements

• Candidates with full working rights for Malaysia
• Degree in Food Technology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in poultry processing / slaughterhouse operations is required. Relevant experience in related food processing or manufacturing environments will also be considered.
• Proven experience managing dress bird / processing plant operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills (handling large workforce)
• Familiar with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations
• Able to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Willing to relocate and be based in the Philippines
