Job summary

ADVANCED ASSEMBLY MATERIALS (M) SDN. BHD. seeks a process-minded engineer to oversee the Plating/Etching department, conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement for leadframe manufacturing.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve process capability and yield, and troubleshoot issues affecting productivity and quality. Requirements include a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and 3–5 years in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment, preferably

Job description

Oversee Plating/Etching department performance, conduct root cause analysis, investigate process failures and recommend appropriate solutions or corrective actions

Work with cross-functional teams on process capability and yield improvement projects

Coordinate troubleshooting of process issues and yield losses

Drive for continuous process improvement and permanent solutions to resolve chronic process and quality issues.

Develop best practices, routine and innovative solutions for continuous improvement

Perform Statistical data analysis for process improvement and interpretation of data

Apply problem solving methods and risk analysis (FMEA)

Develop and implement inspection machine programs tailored to product specifications and defect detection

Hands on machine troubleshooting and oversee the setup of inspection machines to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with QA and production teams to identify root causes and corrective action for customer complaints

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operating or managing machine in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment, preferably in electroplating.

Strong knowledge of defect types and inspection criteria in manufacturing, particularly leadframes.

Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys).

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, commitment for continuous improvement and a commitment to quality assurance.
