Job summary

Molex in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to own yield, quality and continuous-improvement for the plating department, driving COPQ reductions and ensuring customer specifications.

You will lead root-cause analyses, develop SOPs, FMEA, and SPC, collaborate across functions to resolve complaints and sustain process stability, with focus on EHS compliance and equipment improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing or process engineering experience, preferably plating/surface treatment.
• Experience with SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA development, and writing/maintaining SOPs.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and cross-functional project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead yield and quality improvement initiatives, owning KPIs and cost improvements.
• Plan and execute cost-reduction and process-improvement projects with measurable impact.
• Establish and maintain process parameters, FMEA, and SOP documentation for plating processes.
• Analyze SPC data and process capability to keep operations within specification limits.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and reduce COPQ.
• Ensure EHS compliance and align with regulatory requirements.
• Support mechanical/manufacturing engineering with plating-related improvements including equipment and flow.
• Oversee plating activities to sustain stability and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Head of Department.
