We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Plant Technician to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and smooth plant operations.

Key responsibilities

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant systems and equipment.

Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.

Monitor treatment processes, pumps, blowers, dosing systems, and related equipment.

Record operational data and prepare basic reports.

Ensure wastewater discharge complies with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors when required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in wastewater treatment plants, effluent treatment plants (ETP), or industrial utility operations.

Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumps, valves, blowers, and mechanical equipment.

Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsible, disciplined, and committed to workplace safety.

Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.

Candidates with experience in the palm oil or edible oils manufacturing industry will have an added advantage.
