Job summary

Emersive Sdn Bhd is seeking a wastewater lab technician to perform sampling, testing, and monitoring to meet DOE regulations. You will gather samples, analyze chemical and biological properties, and prepare plant efficiency reports.

Responsibilities include QC of lab equipment, calibration checks, and documenting operational data. The role requires a Diploma or STPM in Chemical/Environmental Engineering with 2–3 years in a chemical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Good problem solving, data analysis and communication skills.
• STPM or Diploma in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• CePIETSO(PCP/BP) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, monitoring, lab inventory and testing to ensure DOE compliance.
• Collect and identify concentrations of chemical, physical or biological wastewater characteristics.
• Test wastewater samples for plant efficiency reports as required by DOE.
• Perform quality control tests on lab equipment and analyses.
• Monitor plant equipment and gauges in the treatment plant.
• Record statistical data concerning plant operations.
• Adjust chemical dosing to control the treatment process as needed.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor and ensure calibration of equipment as scheduled.
• Follow ISO, Safety and other regulatory requirements at all times.

Job description

Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, lab inventory and testing required to maintain compliance with DOE regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.

Collects samples and identifies concentrations of chemical, physical or biological characteristics of wastewater required in accordance with DOE requirements.

Gathers and tests wastewater samples for plant efficiency reports as required in accordance with DOE requirements.

Performs quality control tests on lab equipment and lab analyses.

Assures that plant operates within required standards.

Monitors the performance of all lab equipment, gauges and charts in the treatment plant.

Records statistical data concerning plant operations.

Do adjustment on chemical dosing to control treatment process when necessary.

Report to superior on malfunction or breakdown of wastewater equipment.

Ensure all equipment are calibrated as scheduled.

To follow ISO, Safety and other regulatory all time at workplace.

Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least STPM/Diploma in Engineering (Chemical/Environmental) or equivalent.

At least with 2-3 years of experience in Chemical within the manufacturing environment is required for this position.

Certification in CePIETSO(PCP/BP) will be an advantage.

Good problem solving, data analysis and communication skills.

Able to work under pressure and high flexibility on working hour. E.g. extra time, on call in normal hours / weekend.

Willing to work in Kapar Bestari, Klang.
