Job summary

AkzoNobel in Nilai, Malaysia is seeking a Plant Operator I to support daily warehouse operations, focusing on inbound activities such as receiving, checking, storing, and handling goods safely and accurately. You will operate forklift equipment, verify documents (PO, DO, packing list), and ensure goods are stored in correct locations while maintaining 5S and safety procedures.

This role requires at least 1 year in warehousing and a non-stop safety mindset.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience in inbound/receiving is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Able to work in a rotating shift.
• Team player and safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse operations, inbound activities, receiving, checking, storing, and handling goods safely.
• Verify goods against documents (PO, DO, packing list, and shipment documents).
• Operate forklift for loading/unloading, put-away, picking, and stock movement.
• Ensure goods are stored in the correct warehouse location and maintain proper stock arrangement.
• Assist with GR (Goods Receipt) preparation and ensure received goods are properly handed over for system processing.
• Perform physical stock checks and support stock counting and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure goods are handled safely to prevent damage during receiving and storage.
• Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or receiving issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other warehouse duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Description

• To support daily warehouse operations, particularly inbound activities, including receiving, checking, storing, and handling goods safely and accurately.
• Support inbound receiving activities, including unloading and checking incoming goods.
• Verify physical goods against relevant documents such as PO, Delivery Order (DO), packing list, and shipment documents.
• Operate forklift for loading, unloading, put‑away, picking, and stock movement.
• Ensure goods are stored in the correct warehouse location and maintain proper stock arrangement.
• Assist with GR (Goods Receipt) preparation and ensure received goods are properly handed over for system processing.

Job Requirement

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Previous experience in inbound, receiving, operations is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and warehouse activities.
• Basic computer.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Good attendance, discipline, and a responsible working attitude.
• Willing work rotation shift.
