Job summary

Southern Acids Cronos Resource Sdn. Bhd. in Simpang Renggam, Johor, seeks a Plant Engineer to manage daily biogas plant operations, maintenance, and safety. You will oversee gas production, quality, and efficiency, while supervising operators and coordinating procurement and documentation for timely deliveries.

The role requires a degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical), Bahasa Malaysia and English, and 1–2 years in related fields; fresh graduates are welcome. Based in Simpang Renggam, Johor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.

• OSH management experience is preferable.
• Hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily operations, maintenance and servicing of the biogas plant & equipment.
• Oversee gas production, quality and efficiency to keep the plant running smoothly and safely.
• Supervise operators and ensure staff training meets required levels.
• Handle internal requisitions, DOs, invoices and procurement coordination.
• Review performance reports and report actions to the Senior Plant Engineer & Manager-Renewable Energy.
• Stay updated with latest technologies and best practices.
• Ensure authority compliance for the plant.
• Conduct POME lab testing, document results and maintain records.
• Perform administrative and store management duties as assigned.

PLANT ENGINEER - BASED IN SIMPANG RENGGAM, JOHOR

This role involves organizing daily operations, maintenance and servicing of the biogas plant and equipment, overseeing gas production, quality, and efficiency to ensure the plant runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.

Job responsibilities:

Organize the daily operations, maintenance and servicing of the biogas plant & equipment.

Oversee employees, gas production, quality, and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely.

Supervises team of operators and ensures personnel training is on track with required training and skill levels.

Responsible for issuing internal requisitions, preparing Delivery Orders (DO), compiling and organizing invoice documentation and ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely coordination of procurement activities.

Review performance report and report to Senior Plant Engineer & Manager-Renewable Energy on the corrective actions taken.

Stay up to date with latest technologies, best practices and concepts.

Ensure authority compliance for the plant.

Conduct POME laboratory testing, analyse and document results, maintain all related laboratory records, prepare reports for management and perform assigned administrative and store management duties.

Other duties as and when required by the Management.

Job requirement:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical/ Mechanical) or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.

1 – 2 years working experience in biogas industry, power industry, palm oil mill, power generation or related field will be an advantage.

Self-disciplined, quick learner and motivation to learn.

Experience in OSH management system is preferable.

Hands on experience / troubleshooting in electrical, control and / or mechanical maintenance works will be an advantage.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Applicants with Certified Person in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) or have experience in scheduled waste management will be an added advantage.
