Job summary

ASP GREENTECH SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned engineering professional to oversee plant operations alongside the Plant Manager, ensuring efficient production, equipment reliability, and safety compliance.

You will drive continuous improvement across process areas, manage labor and production planning, calibration, and maintenance activities, and develop new SOPs for improved plant performance. Willing to work at Simpang Pertang, Negeri Sembilan or Kota Tinggi, Johor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in process engineering and utilities/maintenance in biomass/refinery/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations with Plant Manager for production plant, machines and equipment.
• Identify and take action on process areas for continuous improvement.
• Manage labor, production planning, stock, calibration, and maintenance while developing new systems.
• Improve processes and policies to maximize output and ensure compliance.
• Identify staff for training and succession planning; develop new SOPs.
• Coordinate with Engineering team for preventive/autonomous maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH, HSE and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly maintenance planning to reduce unscheduled downtime and meet Top Management expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Overseeing in direct assistance and collaboration with the Plant Manager on overall operations of the production plant, its machines and equipment.

Initiate, identify and take appropriate action(s) on process areas for continuous improvement.

Effectively manage labor requirements, manpower planning, production planning, stock management, instrumentation calibration, plant improvement while developing innovative systems and processes

Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals, formulating, and implementing departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output, and monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures

Identifying potential staffs for human capital training, development and succession planning such as Develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for new process improvement projects and for good maintenance practice for all the Plant Equipment.

Liaise with Engineering team (Maintenances) to carry out the routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Autonomous Maintenance (AM) for ensure plant is on the good practice housekeeping.

Ensure compliance and overseeing the DOE, DOSH, HSE and other regulatory requirements.

Prepare for Monthly Production Plant Preventive Maintenance Planning / Scheduled Maintenance Activities to reduce Unscheduled Downtime (%) to meet Top Management expectation.

Any other duties assigned from time to time by the management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Possess leadership skills and able to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia

At least three (3) year(s) of working experience in related field

Experienced in process engineering and utilities & facilities maintenance and biomass plant/Refinery/palm oil mill is required for this position or in manufacturing plant maintenance practice and mechanical design calculation such as speed ratio, bearing selection, power transmission mechanism and etc).

Knowledge and experience in Biomass operation and liaise with DOE & DOSH.

Proactive in initiating improvement suggestions.

Good communication skill, systematic & positive problem-solving approach.

Experienced in build new factory and machine installation will be advantages
