China State Construction Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Planner to oversee planning and scheduling across multiple projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate with departments to compile fortnightly progress reports and maintain master schedules in line with contract requirements.
The role requires CPM analysis, schedule logic development, and time impact assessments, plus monitoring progress, identifying delays, and providing mitigation.
Responsible for overseeing planning and scheduling across all projects.
Coordinate with relevant departments to compile and consolidate fortnightly progress reports from multiple project sites.
Develop, maintain, and monitor Project Master Schedules, Key Milestones, and Monthly/Weekly Construction Schedules in line with contract requirements.
Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, schedule logic development, and time impact assessments for all projects.
Monitor overall project progress, identify delays, and provide early warning reports with recommended mitigation measures.
Review contractors’ and subcontractors’ schedules and ensure alignment with project baseline programmes.
Support Contracts and Commercial teams in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis across projects.
Attend coordination meetings and provide consolidated reporting on portfolio-wide schedule performance.
Prepare and submit baseline schedules, updated schedules, reports, and presentations in English and Chinese when required.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project planning, construction management, or multi-project coordination.
Familiar with Malaysian project management practices and standard forms of contract (PAM, FIDIC).
Knowledge of CIDB, DOSH, and BOMBA requirements related to construction projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
