Job summary

Woh Hup Group in Malaysia is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our civil construction team. You will develop and maintain project programmes, forecast manpower and materials gaps, and track progress against baselines to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 1 year of experience (fresh grads welcome), and proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and MS Project. You will coordinate with subs and internal teams on fast-paced sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a civil engineering degree from a recognised university.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction project schedules and tracking programmes.
• Prepare and present work schedules using Gantt charts and progress diagrams.
• Monitor progress against the baseline schedule throughout construction.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
• Forecast manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Update daily site progress for accurate project tracking.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
• Support monthly progress claims and related documentation.
• Identify delays and assist in recovery plans.

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our team.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and developing project programmes and tracking schedules for construction operations, ensuring project progress aligns with the baseline schedule and overall project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction project schedules, work programmes, and tracking programmes.
• Prepare and present work schedules using visual aids such as bar charts, Gantt charts, and progress diagrams.
• Monitor and update project progress against the baseline schedule throughout the construction process.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Forecast and anticipate manpower, material, and equipment requirements to meet project schedules.
• Collate and update daily site progress to ensure accurate project tracking.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
• Support the preparation of monthly progress claims and related project documentation.
• Identify potential project delays and assist in developing recovery plans to maintain project timelines.

Skills & Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Experience: Fresh Grad encourage to apply and minimum 1 year of experience in building or civil construction projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Good understanding of construction planning, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and project specifications.
