Job summary

Bumantara Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee civil/ME/EC projects in Kuching. You will develop schedules, coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams, and monitor progress against drawings and timelines.

Prepare project schedules, work plans, and progress reports

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory requirements

Review technical drawings, method statements, and material submissions

Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support on site

Track project costs, variations, and assist in budget control

Attend site meetings and prepare minutes and reports

Ensure timely completion of works within approved budget and quality requirements

Project Engineer – Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or related field)

3–5 years of relevant working experience in construction or engineering projects

Strong knowledge of project coordination, site supervision, and technical drawings

Familiar with construction methods, materials, and safety regulations

Ability to liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers

Good problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills

Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or project management software is an advantage
