Job summary

CNC Metal Machining in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Planner to plan and monitor production schedules aligned with customer orders, delivery dates and machine capacity. The role requires collaboration with Production, Purchasing, Store, QC, Maintenance and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.

Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Engineering, 3 years in production planning, ERP and Excel proficiency, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 3 years' experience in production planning/manufacturing.
• Experience in CNC/metal machining is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Plan production based on customer orders, delivery dates, machine capacity and manpower.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Store, QC, Maintenance and Sales.
• Monitor raw material availability and follow up on material shortages.
• Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed on schedule.
• Identify production delays, machine capacity issues and bottlenecks, and arrange corrective actions.
• Maintain production planning and work order information in the ERP system.
• Prepare production planning, delivery and progress reports.
• Monitor WIP, finished goods and inventory levels.
• Support continuous improvement to improve production efficiency and on-time delivery.
