Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Planner to create, update, and monitor project schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6. The role emphasizes adherence to contract requirements and consistent planning practices across projects.

You will provide comprehensive reporting, including CPM, S-curve analysis, and schedule variance, and work with the team to mitigate risks while supporting tender submissions. Experience with data center projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possesses Degree/Diploma in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or construction management.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, construction or residential projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel (Advanced), Power BI, and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and S-curve analysis.
• Understanding of construction methodologies, procurement timelines, and contract schedules.
• Candidate with experience in Data Center project has added advantage.
• Good communication skill and a good team player.

Job description

• Responsible for creating, updating and monitoring project schedules in Microsoft Project and/or P6.
• Fully knowledgeable with the project contractual requirements and ensure compliance with work execution and reporting.
• Ensure planning practices and standards are consistent across each individual project.
• Provide reports including Critical Path, Critical milestone movement, Schedule Variance Report, S-Curve and other reports as needed by management.
• Analyze the data in these reports, identify trends, risks, issues, and work with other team members to resolve them.
• Support the tender submission process. Lead the creation of project schedule to the level required to be submitted for tender.
• Very good understanding of the S-Curve outputs and able to produce S-Curve from scratch.
• Able to provide meaningful commentary on S-Curves, relate back to the schedule and other schedule outputs.
• Experienced in managing risk and opportunity reviews, calculating schedule impact of risks and propose mitigation measures/plan.
• Generate clear comprehensive reporting to management.
• Extend the contractual completion EOT date of a project due to delays beyond the contractor’s control.
