Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced planning professional to support on-site project planning across multiple regions. The role involves early-stage planning management, plan submission for approval, and close collaboration with owners and consultants.

The candidate will oversee planning engineers, conduct interviews with the planning manager, assist with EOT processing, and verify materials.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of work experience in building construction.
• Ability to conduct critical path analysis using Primavera P6 and identify potential pitfalls or variances.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site assistance to projects and support early-stage planning management, including plan preparation and approval submissions.
• Oversee planning engineers across all projects; evaluate capabilities and conduct interviews with the planning manager.
• Assist with EOT processing and verify accuracy of EOT materials submitted by the project.
• Comply with departmental arrangements including on-site support in multiple regions/countries.
• Establish a monthly log of project delays and analyze days behind baseline, coordinating with the contract manager on penalties.
• Perform other planning and management tasks as assigned by the department.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site assistance to projects as needed, including helping develop overall control plans, updating and analyzing plans. Especially for newly undertaken projects where the project planning engineer cannot be readily available, assist with early-stage planning management, including but not limited to plan preparation, plan submission for approval, planning-specific meetings, and liaison with owners and consultants.
• Oversee the management of planning engineers across all projects, check the daily work performance of planning engineers, and evaluate their capabilities. Collaborate with the Chinese planning manager to conduct interviews for planning engineers on newly undertaken projects.
• Assist with EOT (Engineering, Technology, and Construction) processing for challenging projects. Assist the contract manager with plan analysis as needed, and verify the accuracy and completeness of EOT application materials provided by the project.
• Must comply with departmental arrangements, including but not limited to on-site assistance in different regions and countries.
• Establish a monthly log of project delays, determine the number of days each project lags behind the baseline plan, and work with the contract manager to determine potential penalty amounts.
• Other planning and management tasks assigned by the department.

Requirements
